I recently had an unexpected trip to the Sedona-Cottonwood area. The day I left I sat at the altar my sister has for her and played our mother’s flute and rainstick. Then edited it on the train ride back to Santa Cruz…
Speaking of trains, she and I had plans to take a train trek across the country. If you have an extra day to get to your destination, I highly recommend trying the train. It was less expensive than flying and…more fun.
I hope you are doing well and taking the time to listen to where you are now.

I took a break and went to the little outdoor chapel here in the redwoods where I live.
I sat and looked up and stretched up looking at the trees reaching for a the sky.
I asked to be closer to her.
Just then I noticed a thick beam of sunlight touch my face.
I walked toward the light.
With my eyes closed I noticed a bright white and golden crystalline fire light, shining through.
This is what she would surround herself with before meditating.
And now this is her.
She is the sun shining, the warmth radiating. She is the warm embrace.

Hello Friends,
Almost two years has gone by since my mom passed away. What are you up to now? What have you been through? Where are you going?
This seems like a great time to meet and discuss such progressive things. Here is what I am proposing: I would like to gather at the place she went on her daily hike–the base of coffee pot rock.
You can bring something that reminds you of her, or that you think she would appreciate.
Bring your thoughts on where you have come in the past 2 years. Your progress, your growth, your movement forward. AND where you would like to go, be or what you would like to do in the coming future…
Maybe we can meet at the trailhead and hike there together, then sit and share our thoughts on the giant flat rock she liked to visit on a daily.
When?
Well she was born on the 16th of September and she passed away on the 21st. So how about if we meet in the middle? On Saturday the 20th of September at around 3pm.
Where?
The Sugarloaf trailhead parking area, which is found as follows
From the 89A / 179 “Y” … take 89A west 2.0 miles;
turn right on Coffeepot Drive for 0.6 miles;
turn left on Sanborn for 0.2 miles;
turn right on Little Elf Drive and follow trailhead signs;
parking lot is on your left.
